Terms of Service

Last updated · May 22, 2026

These are the terms for using Cobwebs. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Who we are

Cobwebs is operated by Wayflare OÜ, a company registered in Estonia.

  • Address: Pärnu mnt 141, 11314 Tallinn, Estonia
  • Registry number: 17495514
  • Contact: support@cobwebs.app

In these terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean Wayflare OÜ. “You” means you, the person using Cobwebs.

What Cobwebs is

Cobwebs is a web app for tracking how long it's been since you did something. You add activities, mark them done, the counter resets. That's the service.

We provide it “as is.” We try hard to keep it running well and your data safe, but we don't guarantee Cobwebs will be available 100% of the time, free of bugs, or fit for any specific purpose beyond what's described.

Your account

You can use Cobwebs anonymously, with up to 5 activities stored in your browser. No account is needed for that.

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping access to your email secure — that's how you sign in. If someone else gets into your email, they can get into your Cobwebs account.

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract under the law of your country (typically 13 to 18 depending on jurisdiction).

Free and Plus

Free (anonymous or signed in): up to 5 activities, light and dark themes, JSON export, and — for signed-in users — cross-device sync and an optional check-in email.

Plus (€14 per year, after a 14-day free trial): unlimited activities, goals with email reminders when items go overdue, and the full set of color themes.

We may change what's included in each tier with reasonable notice. If we move a Plus feature into the free tier, you keep it. If we restrict something previously free, we'll notify active users and explain why.

Payments and renewals

The first 14 days are free. When you start Plus, we collect a payment method but don't charge it. On day 15, we charge €14 for the first year, then again every year on that same date, unless you cancel first.

About three days before your trial ends, we email a reminder so the charge isn't a surprise.

You can cancel any time from Settings → Plan. Cancelling during the trial means no charge. Cancelling after that means you stay Plus until the end of your already-paid year, then drop back to free.

€14 is the price. Not €14 plus tax. We're a small Estonian company below the VAT registration threshold, so no VAT is added at checkout and none is included in what you pay.

One trial per customer. If you previously had a Plus subscription on the same account or payment method, the 14-day trial doesn't apply — the next checkout charges €14 immediately.

Refunds and right of withdrawal

The 14-day trial is the offer. You get 14 days to try Plus without paying anything. Cancel before day 15 in Settings → Plan and we never charge you.

After the trial converts on day 15, payments are non-refundable except where required by law (and your statutory consumer rights below).

Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA). Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU as amended by 2023/2673), you have 14 days from the start of your Plus contract to withdraw without giving a reason.

The simplest way to exercise this right is in the app: Settings → Plan → “Withdraw from your trial” (during trial) or “Withdraw and refund”(within 14 days of payment). We'll end Plus immediately and refund €14 if any charge was taken.

If you're a repeat customer charged immediately, the 14-day window starts on the day of payment.

If you'd rather send a formal notice — for example, if the in-app button isn't working — email support@cobwebs.app with a clear statement that you're withdrawing. Plain English works; if you'd rather use the EU model form, it's this:

  • To: Wayflare OÜ, Pärnu mnt 141, 11314 Tallinn, Estonia — support@cobwebs.app
  • I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for Cobwebs Plus
  • Plus contract started on: [date]
  • Name:
  • Email used at checkout:
  • Date:

We'll confirm receipt by email and, if any payment has been taken, refund it to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your notice.

Your data

You own your data. We just store it and sync it across your devices. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.

You can export everything as JSON from Settings at any time. You can delete your account, immediately and permanently, from Settings.

What you can't do

Don't use Cobwebs to:

  • Break the law
  • Send spam, malware, or abusive content (including in activity names visible to anyone)
  • Try to access other accounts or our infrastructure without permission
  • Resell, repackage, or pass off the service as your own
  • Scrape the site or load it in ways designed to overwhelm our servers
  • Reverse engineer or copy the app to build a competing product

We may suspend or close accounts that do any of these. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why first.

Termination

You can leave any time by deleting your account.

We can close accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

If we ever shut down Cobwebs entirely, we'll give signed-in users at least 30 days' notice and a final data export.

Changes to the service

Cobwebs is a single-developer indie app. We make changes — sometimes large ones — based on what's working. We may add features, remove features, or redesign parts of the experience.

We'll avoid breaking your data. If a change would remove or significantly alter something you paid for as part of Plus, we'll either keep it working for existing subscribers, give reasonable notice, or, if you've recently paid, offer a pro-rata refund.

Liability

We're a small company running a small app. To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability for anything related to Cobwebs in any 12-month period is capped at the amount you paid us in that period (or €0if you're a free user).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that legally cannot be limited — for example, liability for our own gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Consumer rights

If you're a consumer in the EU or EEA, mandatory consumer protection law in your country still applies, regardless of anything in these terms. You don't lose those rights by accepting these terms.

Most disputes can be resolved by emailing support@cobwebs.appfirst — usually in a day. If that doesn't work, EU/EEA consumers can also turn to the European Consumer Centres Network (eccnet.eu) or, in Estonia, the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee).

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Estonian law. Disputes go to the Estonian courts, with one exception: if you're a consumer in the EU or EEA, you can also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and your local consumer law still applies.

Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll email signed-in users at least 14 daysbefore the changes take effect. If you keep using Cobwebs after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account before the changes take effect.
